Pre-Halloween Festivities

Halloween pictures are coming soon but these are some photos from the week leading up to Halloween.  Last Saturday, the YMCA had their annual Halloween party.  Eric was not too cooperative with the costume and refused to wear it.  Here was the one split second that he actually had it on:
And Evan in his baseball player costume:
And on Sunday, West Goshen Township had their annual fall festival.  The boys got to pick out pumpkins in the park:
It was a perfect day to be enjoying the outdoors:

Big Boy Bed for Eric

Two weeks ago, we said goodbye to our last "baby" item and moved Eric to a big boy bed!  He was so excited for it.  He's got a Thomas bed-spread and couldn't be happier.  The first few nights took some getting used to but he has pretty much settled in now.  And just like that, our baby is a baby no longer :(

Brian Completes a Half Marathon!

This past weekend, we headed to Atlantic City (without the kids) so that Brian and our good friends, Beth and Brianna, could run the AC Half Marathon.  We arrived on Friday night and headed out to a great dinner.  Saturday, the guys gambled and the girls outlet shopped before an early pasta dinner.  And on Sunday, it was off to the race bright and early.  Here are a few photos of the race.  Here is Beth at mile 1:
Here is the sign that the boys and I made for Brian.  Except I made the guys hold the sign so I could take pictures.  They were thrilled.  We call this one "My three dads":
Brian at mile 6 - right on pace and looking good:
The support team taking a selfie.  We had a blast watching the race:
Brian looking great at the finish:
Smiling because that finish line is in sight:
Head down to the finish:
With his medal.  Brian finished the race in 1 hour, 43 minutes and 55 seconds.  His goal was 1:45 so he beat it.  And his average pace was 7:55 per mile!  He finished 78th out of 1,204 runners and 16th in his age group!  I am so unbelievably impressed and proud.
And here comes Beth to the finish:
And the happiest runner out there was Bri, looking fantastic at mile 13:

It was such a great time all weekend long.  Extra thanks to Nana & Papa for watching the boys so we could enjoy some the whole weekend of race events!

Fall Days

We headed to Merrymead Farms today in Lansdale to meet our friends at a Halloween farm.  It was insanely crowded but the boys had a good time anyway.  Here are the few photos that we took while we were there:
This is the not the last you'll see these shirts in photos. . . just to warn you. They are the only Halloween shirts we own :)

A Few Fall Photos

We went to Longwood Gardens a few weekends ago to check out their fall display.  I didn't bring my camera so only had my iPhone.  But this little guy's smile just makes me smile:

Both boys together:

And that's all I've got for today!

Rocky Acre Farm - Part 2

The fun continued on the farm as the days went on.  Here are all of the kids (including one big "kid" in the white sweatshirt):
Here Papa was pulling Evan, Eric and a stranger in a wagon:
Probably the highlight for the boys is their time spent with the farm cats and kittens.   They are obsessed!  If only their dad wasn't allergic, I'm pretty sure we would have come home with one:
This is the kitten's house.  It is tiny and I found Eric had crawled in there.  Gross!

There is also a big playhouse for the kids.  They would go in there, close the doors and trap their "children" inside there.  Evan would rock in the rocking chair and they would put the kitten in the cradle:

The boys "play children":
Eric with his favorite kitten:
Onto feeding the pony and goats the leftover breakfast food (waffles and pancakes):
Love this photo of Eric walking up the farm road:
Evan may end up being a vet as an adult.  He loves his animals and has no fear.  Here he is giving Cupcake a kiss:
We also went into Amish Lancaster and took a horse & buggy ride.  Here we are in our buggy:
On our final morning, the farmer let Evan drive the tractor.  Look at the color of that sky.  Gorgeous!
And we spent the morning hanging out on the swing before having to head home:
We played a game "Raise your hand if you love . . . ".  This one might have been "Raise your hand if you love Derek Jeter":
And onto our last "ride" of the day, the ATV ride through the woods.  Evan driving as usual:
I've said it before but this place is the best.  We will hopefully be going back again next year!
