Another Day at Longwood

Another visit to one of our favorite places around - Longwood Gardens.  It's tulip season and always beautiful to see.  Getting photos is just a little more difficult each time we go, but luckily Eric still cooperates for photos and Evan is bribe-able if we promise him chocolate.  Here they are at the indoor gardens - that is Evan's horrible smily face:
 Out by the tulips:
Evan had Eric in a choke-hold:
Now it started to get painful and one second after this picture, they both fell into the tulips:

Walking pensively through the gardens:
One of my favorites:
He had been strapped in the stroller all afternoon so he was so happy to be out and about:
Brian hanging Eric upside down:
We will be back soon I'm sure.  And hopefully Eric continues to cooperate for me because I need at least one child I can photograph among the flowers!

Catching up

A few weeks ago, I took the boys to the daycare at my office because their regular daycare was closed for Good Friday.  At lunch time, I brought Evan to the cafeteria to eat lunch and then we visited my desk.  He was very happy to see where I worked and to play on my computer . . . which he then locked me out of.  But here he is pretending to work:
And a picture of the boys getting tickled by their father.  Eric has a look of joy while Evan's look is mixed with fear:
And just last night we hosted our group of "Delaware friends" (only one couple of which still lives in Delaware) over for the third annual "Dinner for Breakfast Pajama Party".  When we first started this party in 2011, there were 10 adults and 5 children.  Here we are 2 years later and we are up to 10 kids in total. . . and we all managed to sit down and eat dinner at the same time - a minor miracle.  While I didn't take any pictures of the action because I was doing most of the cooking, I did snap this shot.  Evan was exhausted, hadn't napped in 2 days and was overall cranky.  Brian and I had just commented to each other earlier in the weekend that Evan had never fallen asleep in a random spot like when he was playing or anything.  Well nothing more random than falling asleep at the dinner table with 20 people around:
And Eric was more than happy to take a taste of some yummy chocolate pie for dessert:
I'll keep feeding him chocolate if it will help fatten him up!

Please Touch Museum . . . yet again

Last weekend, we spent our Saturday morning at the Please Touch Museum.  We try to get there at least once a year and it's perfect for kids.  Here are a few pics I was able to get while we were there.  The brothers in a car and Evan giving Eric a kiss:
 Eric driving on his own:
Watching the car wash:
At the supermarket:
Eric was so short it was hard to see over the top of the cart:
Shopping for limes:
Checking out at the grocery store with Brian as the cashier:
Working the crane:
Eric, Sasha and Ian driving the boat:
All three Felt boys riding the carousel:
It's pretty difficult to get pictures when we are out with two little ones so these aren't my best shots but we had a lot of fun.  And I'm sure you'll be seeing another post like this in just about a year.

Eric's 1 Year Photos (just about a month late)

Busy times at home this past month so I am long overdue for Eric's 1 year old post and stats.  First of all, the past year has gone by faster than I could have ever imagined.  I feel like it was just yesterday that we took this photo in the hospital and now he's 1!
Eric had his 1 year appointment and weighed in at 18 lbs, 8 oz (with clothes on), which put him at the 12th percentile.  His height is 2 ft, 3.75 inches . . . which put him at the 0 percentile.  If he doesn't grow taller in the near future, we'll be off to endocrinology to have his growth hormones checked and to make sure there is nothing more going on to hinder his growth.  His head, however, remains large at the 60th percentile.  At home, Eric is a lot of fun - full of smiles.  He is VERY active and into a lot of things.  I forgot how exhausting a 1-year-old can be!  It wasn't too long ago that Eric was the "easy" one and Evan was more difficult.  There's definitely been a role reversal lately.  Bath time with Eric is fun . . . if you like getting completely soaked from head-to-toe.  He climbs anything and everything he can find - he likes to keep us on our toes :)  He is definitely a momma's boy and I hope it stays that way!  He loves spending time with his brother - one of my favorite parts of the day is the drive home from daycare when Evan and Eric smile and giggle at each other in the back seat.   Now that the weather is getting warmer, I believe Eric will love the outdoors as much as his brother.  And he loves his dog, Lily.
We took Eric to get his 1 year photos and he wasn't too happy.  We had to work for these photos and if you look closely, you can see the tears in his eyes.
Here was Eric's 12 month frog picture.  Getting him to sit still for this photo was nearly impossible:
And I couldn't find a way to put all 13 frog pictures together into a collage, so I've broken it up into two collages: 0-8 months and 9-12 months.
I have to say that 11 months was probably my favorite photo of the bunch:
And I haven't done one of these in awhile, but here is an Evan and Eric comparison at the same age.  To me, they still don't really look like brothers - I still see all Felt in Eric and all Weiss in Evan:
I can't believe how fast a year has gone and I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
